Football Analyst Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions
Arsenal's ten-match winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international break, however will the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, readers and a range of guests.
In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.
Murs' new album, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.
Soccer and Family Experiences
Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or son chooses to play instead."
Murs and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.
"I will not push football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their weekend soccer side," he said.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.
"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be quite close, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, the Hammers secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' sole on the road victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously Forest manager.
Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or the home side responding?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
The guest's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four matches.
A family member told me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.
They have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's team pose much more of a danger.
The analyst's forecast: 2-1
Olly's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually proves to be rather close. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.
They have have lots of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.
The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.
However I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly love to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's home form, the only side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0

It is a tough one to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
